Norwalk, OH, located in Huron County, experiences a humid continental climate with approximately 36 inches of annual rainfall and cold winters averaging 35 inches of snowfall. The city’s proximity to Lake Erie, about 20 miles north, contributes to humidity levels that often exceed 75%, particularly in summer, while its clay-rich soil retains moisture, creating conditions conducive to crawl space problems. Norwalk’s housing stock includes a mix of historic homes, many built between the 1800s and 1950s with Colonial, Victorian, or Craftsman architecture, and newer suburban developments. Older homes, especially in areas like the Uptown Historic District or along West Main Street, often feature crawl spaces lacking modern moisture barriers, making them susceptible to water intrusion, mold growth, and wood rot. Winter freeze-thaw cycles cause soil expansion and contraction, which can lead to foundation cracks and further moisture infiltration. Since up to 50% of a home’s air originates from the crawl space, a damp or moldy crawl space can compromise indoor air quality, potentially causing health concerns such as allergies or respiratory issues. Crawl space repair is essential to preserving Norwalk’s historic and modern homes, enhancing energy efficiency, and maintaining a healthy living environment.

I can’t begin to explain the high level of service I received last night. To give the back story, we sold our house and needed some work done after the inspection. We needed some water pumped out and a new pump in our crawl space. Matt took my call at 5:30 PM at night and took the time to listen to the entirety of my issue. He made it clear he understood that timing was important as the issue could hold up/kill our deal. He told us he’d be there by 7:30 and he showed up on time and immediately got to work pumping. After pumping the water he went down and determined the pump was dead and we needed a replacement. By 10:00 pm the pump was replaced, I was hooked up to the wifi and could see all the statuses and had a full understanding of how it worked. He was kind enough to check around to see if we had other issues and let us know if we needed anything else done. He even took pictures and a video to share with our buyers to give some piece of mind and could potentially save the deal. I can say for certain I’ve never felt more relieved. I called 6 other places. 5 of which didn’t answer and I got sent to voicemail and 1 other who said I’d receive a call to schedule and never did. It was an incredible experience and would highly recommend and already have recommended him to family for some work they need done. If I ever need anything in the future he will be the first call.
